Turkey Day Calorie Fest

We got the pleasure of spending another fabulous Thanksgiving with Michael's family. Great-grandma is a diabetic and I believe she truly relished every morsel of the dinner since she rarely gets such treats...she didn't want any of her ice cream to go to waste....she is still a little kid at heart! The kids had a grand time getting to hang out with family. Isabella was especially fond of the turkey skin (as you can see as she sneaks a piece without using her hands...it is more sly that way I guess)

25 years old

That is how old this night gown is....since I wore it as a kid too. Hard to believe it is still cool after so many years.

The older look

Isabella proudly displaying the 6 inches of hair that she had cut off. She tells me that she loves her new hair and she doesn't have to wear braids at all anymore if she doesn't want to! I will have to say the new doo does make her look older....my little girl is growing up.

Late night at the Circus

The kids got to experience their first circus and loved it. However it didn't end until 10:30pm so they were incredibly "fried" after all the excitement. I think this picture captures that very well.

Time to make the donuts

Isabella had the joy of going to her Great-Grandma Buhman's house to make home-made donuts for the first time. She had a great time during the long process of making dough, letting it rise, punching it down, rising again, rolling and cutting out donuts and finally glazing them! We took some story time and lunch breaks along the way. The kids had a lot of fun eating them in the end. Nothing better than fresh donuts.

Sweet Reward

Eating with attitude

Dominic starting eating his waffle while making some pretty funny faces. Unfortunately I kept catching the end of the snarls he make as he ate. It was hilarious!

Kitty Love

A very friendly stray cat showed up on our door step on Halloween. The kids had a great few days with "pumpkin" the kitty. Our loving neighbors next door adopted her. Now the kids can go next door and see the kitty whenever they want. It is hard to find a cat that is content with being carried by a two year old! This cat is pretty tolerant...too bad Isabella & Michael have cat allergies or we would have adopted her.
