Alice in Wonderland

One of the exhibits at the Magic House was Alice in Wonderland. This past year I read the story to the kids and they really got a kick out of it.....as crazy as it is. Here are some pictures of the kids being giants in the room with all the doors and they got to have a tea party with Alice and the Mad Hatter --who kept the kids giggling. 6.6.11

Our new mechanic

St. Louis Magic House: we spent the whole day seeing all the many things that the Magic House has to offer. Dominic got to try his hand at mechanics. 6.6.11

Meeting Mater

When we were driving back to our hotel in St. Louis we drove by a car lot that had a truck that looked just like TomMater from Cars. Before we went home we ventured back to find it and took some pictures. It was so super cute. The kids thought it was pretty neat. 6.8.11

Our Southern Belle

What better way to spend a sunny day than under a parasol with a fan all she needs is a glass of iced tea. 6.19.11

A Beautiful Mother's Day

Michael and the kids made a wonderful Mother's day for me this year. Isabella crowned me with a flower wreath she secretly made. They surprised me with a beautiful bouquet of daisies and roses. We had ice cream sundaes in homemade waffle bowls. Then they made the traditional chalk drawing--which they do for their Grandparents since we don't see them on Mother's day (2009, 2010) grilling bbq chicken for dinner. 05.08.11

Eating Easter Cookies

Just wouldn't be Easter without the cookies! 4.24.11

Easter Monday

We normally spend Easter Monday with my aunt and her kids. This year it was raining so we had to improvise for the Easter egg hunt. Instead of the kids finding candy in their eggs I put play money inside. So the kids got to spend their money at the concession stand and use their math skills to see what they could afford. There was "deluxe candy," spring tattoos, snacks, and penny candy. It made the egg hunt last almost 1.5 hours! It was a big hit. Ian ran the stand and the kids did the buying....everyone was busy. This might be what we do next year even if it isn't raining! 4.24.11

We were able to stop by and see my Grandparents on Easter afternoon before heading to my parents. It is always so wonderful to see them. 4.23.11
