Thanksgiving in Kansas City

The Paoletti family came to us.  Normally we head to Illinois for Thanksgiving every year.  Since we have to be out of the house in just a week we didn't think we could get everything done and still travel.  They were generous and came to have Thanksgiving and help us pack.  11.22.12

Happy 7th Birthday Dominic

Dominic was rather insistent that his 7th birthday should be in the "old house" so we worked hard to make that happen.  He really wanted a knight castle cake but given the lack of time I had to devote to cake decorating, it just wasn't possible.  He decided that a dragon cave with plunder being attacked by warrior knights was pretty cool too.  The best part is that he designed and decorated most of his cake (with a little help from his sister)!  They did an amazing job.  I might have to retire from this cake decorating gig.  11.18.12

Right now our house is a maze of boxes as we pack up everything to move. The kids thought it would be fun to do their school work in a box.  I thought it was pretty funny. As long as they are doing their work, I don't care where they are.  I am impressed we are getting any school work done among the chaos. 11.12.12

Magic Kingdom

First thing we did when we got to Magic Kingdom was to watch the fireworks at Cinderella's Castle. It was amazing.
