The homeschooling group near where we live has an annual All Saint's Day party and we were able to attend for the first time this year. It made for a very busy day since the party ended up falling on the same day as Halloween. Dominic went as St. Isidore the Farmer and Isabella went as St. Queen Isabel of Portugal. The kids had to tell a bit about themselves and the other kids guessed which saint they were. They also got to play lots of games and eat yummy treats. (10.31.08)

Halloween 2008
Happy Halloween from the cowboy/girl from the Paoletti pack. It was so fun having the kids dressed up the same for a change. They had a fun time "holding up" people to get candy. I love the picture of Dominic hording candy under his tummy after we got home from the trick or treating spree. (10.31.08)

Carving pumpkin fun
Somehow time slipped away this year and we ended up carving our pumpkin the night before Halloween. Time just seems to fly by faster and faster. The kids chose a cat for the pumpkin and they helped Michael in the messy job. Dominic got right in there and pulled out seeds. He liked the slime. (10.30.08)

Trick or Treating at Grandma/pa Buhmans
Always so good to see my grandparents. They got a kick out of seeing the two little sharp shooters. Dominic thought the cat, pickles would enjoy being a cowboy too. (11.2.08)

Raking, raking, JUMP
We had a wonderful time getting the yard cleaned up and making a huge pile of leaves to jump into. It was lots of fun until Isabella lost her shoe in the pile of leaves and we spent about 20 minutes searching through the enormous pile trying to find it. It was a fun day. 10.28.08

Grandma got to go with us to Boo at the Zoo this year. The weather was perfect and the kids had fun trick or treating and seeing all the animals....of course Dominic spent most of the time on the tractors again. 10.24.08

Here kitty kitty
A surprise this year at the pumpkin patch was the batch of new born kittens the kids got to play with after picking out pumpkins. They were so little and soft and cute....it is amazing we didn't end up taking one home with us. (10.24.08)

Pick a pumpkin
Our annual trip to the pumpkin patch was a huge success this year. Dominic had such joy when he saw that they had John Deere tractors to ride on and kittys to pet. Oh, and there were lots of pumpkins of every size and shape too. (10.19.08)

Day with the Drumms
Our good friends the Drumm's moved about 45 minutes away to the beautiful home they built out in the country. We had the chance to not only go and visit them for a peaceful day in the country ---we also got to meet the newest member of their family: Catherine Helena. (10/15/08)
