Turtle Tune Up
Dominic is getting very clever these days. We found him in the kitchen with a screwdriver working on his turtle. I guess he knows that it "should" have batteries in it....we just didn't put them in. Looks like he is working on a remedy to the situation.

Reconnecting with Mama
After picking me up from the airport the kids and I had the joy of spending a very relaxing day reconnecting. We played games, read books and had a fun afternoon at the park. It was so great to be able to get my fill of hugs and kisses. Dominic spent the whole morning on my lap...I think he really missed me. I had a wonderful time but it is so good to be home with my little family again.

Creating memories
What to you get when you have two 30 year old women & you take away their husbands and their children? =two really goofy women who think they are 23 again! We had a great time, taking walks, biking, thrifting, and laughing about the joys of motherhood. Lots of great memories made in three short days.

Visit to see the Ashby's in Maryland
My first big trip away from my family! I had to opportunity to stay with Gina and finally meet little Kaede. Andy was gone on a trip for the first two days...so we had a lot of good quality girl time. Kaede is adorable, of course, he had a blast climbing all over my suitcase every morning after he woke up.

She's leaving on a jet plane....
I went to the airport and saw my mama leave on a plane that looked just like this one. I sure do miss her.

Who says Carnivals are for kids?
The kids had a blast being driven around to all the carnival rides by Jeremy, their personal chauffeur of fun.

It's never too cold for candy!
The kids bear the cold weather for the joy of eating candy at the Riverfest parade. Although Jude looks a little skeptic and isn't so sure that candy is really coming.

Somebody...anybody...save our boy!
You would think that with all those girls around someone would be saving Dominic from the surprise tiger attack! (Luckily he was able to tame the beast before our fun evening with the Gilmore family was over.)

Hanging out....making faces...having fun
A friend from the 'old Carbondale days' stopped in to see his favorite 4-year-old and to meet Dominic for the first time. Needless to say the kids adored Michael. We were grateful to be part of his travel plans.
